Basketball has really taken on a life of its own the last several years here in Colorado Springs. The Palmer and Widefield boys both played in the final Four last year, The Sierra Boys won it all in 4A this year over Pueblo South, The Sierra and Mesa Ridge girls teams have both been dominant around the state the last 3 years, and the spring and summer tournament schedule keeps growing and growing. Spring and Summer basketball is all about skill development, time on the court, and game knowledge. Winning is secondary. So take it easy on the coaches and officials. Focus on encouraging your kids in a positive manner. Let’s do what we can to help these young men and women grow into the adults we all strive to be.
